Classic MIC.
But here is where it gets interesting.
That loss was largely caused by a ₹29.31 crore deferred tax asset reversal, explicitly disclosed as non-cash and non-operational.
Strip away that accounting bomb, and operating profit actually surged.

MIC feels like three companies stacked in a trench coat.
Still, the real economic engine seems concentrated in:
Core Money Makers:
- Railway signaling / IPIS / PAPIS
- LED display systems
- Maintenance contracts
- Electrical and spare-parts trading (newer consolidated segment)
That fourth segment quietly mattered.
It helped consolidated revenue jump to ₹190.5 crore from ₹94.8 crore.
That’s a 100% leap.
Not cosmetic.
Real.
And unlike many “story stocks,” MIC actually has clients:
- IRCTC
- RBI
- ONGC
- L&T
- Coal India
- Indian Railways
This is not PowerPoint revenue.
But here’s the roast:
