First, they went digital pharmacy with SastaSundar.com, then got Flipkart Health to take over the heavy lifting. Then they added diagnostics with Genu Path Labs because why not. And when boredom struck, they sprinkled in financial services — loans, securities, consultancy — basically everything except selling samosas.
Their revenue mix screams “Healthcare heavy” (94%), while financial services sulk at 6%. But here’s the kicker — despite being “almost debt-free” (less than ₹1 crore borrowings), they still manage to post negative operating margins. Imagine being debt-free and still broke — truly inspirational.

3. Business Model – WTF Do They Even Do?

Financial Services → Basically a Core Investment Company (CIC). They finance loans, play with securities, give consultancy, wealth management, and probably free gyaan no one asked for. Contribution to revenue? A sad 6%.
Healthcare Network → The real deal. Subsidiaries run B2C, B2B, and diagnostics.
B2C – SastaSundar.com: Used to be a healthcare e-commerce platform. Then Flipkart waltzed in, rebranded it to Flipkart Health+, and Sastasundar became a sidekick with a 24.9% stake. Spoiler alert: In October 2024, they sold their entire stake to Flipkart Health Singapore. Exit ho gaya.
B2B – RetailerShakti: Supplies medicines, wellness products, FMCG to retail chemists and kiranas. Think of it as the BigBasket for chemists.
Diagnostics – Genu Path Labs: A small but growing diagnostic business in Eastern India. Not exactly Dr. Lal Pathlabs, but hey, at least they try.
