The Cyberabad traffic police on Tuesday (August 12, 2025) issued an advisory urging companies in the IT corridor to allow early logouts and consider work-from-home arrangements for employees in evening shifts in view of a heavy rain forecast for later part of the day.

In a statement, the department recommended that firms plan staggered logouts from 3 p.m. onwards to reduce congestion and ensure smooth passage of emergency services. Evening shift employees, it said, should work-from-home wherever possible to minimise the chances of being caught in traffic during downpours.
Officials said the measure is aimed to prevent traffic bottlenecks, ensure commuter safety and facilitate uninterrupted movement for emergency responders. The advisory comes as the city braces for intense showers, which in recent weeks have led to severe waterlogging and traffic delays across key arterial routes.
