Himatsingka Seide Ltd Q3 FY26: Sales ₹611 Cr, PAT Crashes 65% YoY, Debt ₹2,561 Cr — Textile Titan or Tired Tailor?

1. At a Glance – Bedsheets, Brands & Borrowings

Himatsingka Seide Ltd is currently trading at ₹111 with a market cap of ₹1,395 Cr. On paper, it looks “cheap” at a P/E of 8.91 and a Price-to-Book of just 0.66. But as your CA uncle says — cheap is not always value; sometimes it’s just cheap.

Latest Q3 FY26 numbers? Sales at ₹611 Cr (down 11.6% YoY), PAT at ₹7.66 Cr (down 64.9% YoY). Operating margins at 15.55%. Debt at ₹2,561 Cr. Interest coverage at 1.40. ROE at a royal 1.00%.

Return over 3 months? -9.62%.
Return over 1 year? -13.5%.
Industry P/E? 20.8.
Company P/E? 8.91.

So here’s the million-dollar question: Is the market missing something… or is it seeing something we are ignoring?

Grab your bedsheet. We are about to pull it off the balance sheet.

2. Introduction – The Textile Maharaja With a Debt Hangover

Himatsingka isn’t some fly-by-night towel seller from the local mandi.

This is a vertically integrated global textile player with:

  • 211,584 spindles
  • 61 million meters per annum sheeting capacity
  • 25,000 TPA terry towel capacity
  • 2 MMPA drapery & upholstery

It supplies to global fashion royalty like Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Kate Spade. It operates across 36 countries. It has 104 global clients.

Sounds majestic, right?

But here’s the twist — 60–65% revenue comes from the USA. And management itself says they want to reduce U.S. concentration below 50% over the next few years.

When your biggest customer is one geography and that geography sneezes, you don’t just catch a cold — you catch margin compression.

Meanwhile, debt sits at ₹2,561 Cr. Net debt in Q2FY26 reduced to ₹2,436 Cr from ₹2,680 Cr YoY. Good effort. But interest cost per quarter is still around ₹75 Cr.

Now tell me — when quarterly PAT is ₹7.66 Cr and interest is ₹75 Cr… who is really making money?

3. Business Model – WTF Do They Even Do?

Imagine a company that:

  • Grows cotton.
  • Spins cotton.
  • Weaves cotton.
  • Dyes cotton.
  • Brands cotton.
  • Sells cotton to Calvin Klein.

That’s vertical integration.
