Indosolar Ltd Q3 FY26 – ₹200 Cr Quarterly Revenue, ₹41.5 Cr PAT, and the Greatest Solar Resurrection Story Since CIRP Was Invented

1. At a Glance

Indosolar Ltd is that one stock which disappeared from investor group chats for half a decade, went through CIRP hell, got adopted by a rich solar daddy, and then casually came back flexing ₹200 crore quarterly revenue, ₹41.5 crore PAT, 77% ROCE, and a single-digit P/E of 7.9 — like nothing happened. Market cap stands at ₹1,937 crore, current price ₹465, while the stock has given an 81.7% return in six months and then slapped late entrants with a –31% three-month correction, because drama is mandatory.

The real masala? This is a company whose factory was shut since May 2018, survived insolvency, wiped out legacy sins via capital reduction, and is now reporting 93.7% QoQ revenue growth and 305% QoQ profit growth. Solar bros are screaming “Make in India”, value investors are whispering “book value is ₹48”, and auditors are nervously adjusting their glasses watching ROE print 420%.

Is this a turnaround masterpiece or a financial illusion powered by related-party sunlight? Stay seated, panel tilt optimal, inverter humming — this story has voltage.

2. Introduction – From Insolvency to Instagram Reels

Indosolar was incorporated in 2005 to manufacture solar photovoltaic cells. Sounds noble. Then reality happened. By 15 May 2018, the Greater Noida plant was shut, operations went dark, and the balance sheet looked like it had survived a dust storm without a helmet.

Enter CIRP, the Indian corporate ICU. After years of legal paperwork yoga, Waaree Energies Limited stepped in, got its resolution plan approved in April 2022, and effectively adopted Indosolar like a long-lost cousin with good land and bad habits. Capital was reduced, liabilities reset, promoters changed, and public shareholding shrank to a laughable 3.85%, triggering relisting issues.

Fast forward to June 19, 2025 — Indosolar is relisted on NSE and BSE, operations restart, revenue magically appears, and suddenly this “dead” company is posting ₹789 crore TTM sales and ₹245 crore TTM PAT.

Now pause. How many companies do you know that go from zero revenue to ₹789 crore without raising eyebrows? Exactly. That’s why this article exists.

Question for you: is this a phoenix or a cleverly structured solar SPV with lipstick?

3. Business Model – WTF Do They Even Do?

Officially, Indosolar manufactures solar photovoltaic cells, solar modules, and offers solar solutions. Unofficially, right now, it operates like a strategic manufacturing and transaction arm inside the Waaree ecosystem.

The original Indosolar cell plant is still more “proposed revival” than full-scale industrial symphony. What is happening, per filings, is module manufacturing and job-work, closely intertwined with Waaree Energies and Waaree Renewable Energies.
