Police Commissioner S. V. Rajashekar Babu handed over the missing, lost and stolen mobile phones to the owners at the Command Control Centre here on Tuesday (August 12).
Some 600 mobile phones, valued about â¹70 lakh, were traced through Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR).
Of the total cell phones, 504 were traced in different places in A.P., 20 in Odisha, 18 in Karnataka, 16 in Maharashtra, 13 in Rajasthan, 12 in Uttar Pradesh, 10 in Bihar and seven were recovered from West Bengal State, the Police Commissioner said.
âMobile phones of 13 makes were recovered from all 26 districts in Andhra Pradesh,â the Police Commissioner said and appealed to the public not to purchase stolen phones through the mediators.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) K. Tirumaleswara Reddy, Additional DCP (Crimes) M. Raja Rao, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP-Cybercrimes) B. Raja Shekar and other officers were present.
