We messed up. And not in a “haha, typo” kind of way. In a “wrote an entire U.S. SEC article about a company that doesn’t even exist there” kind of way.
🧯 What Happened
On June 2, 2025, we published an article analyzing what we believed to be a 10-K filing from Brightcom Group Inc (BGRI), supposedly listed in the United States.
But here’s the truth:
- ✅ Brightcom Group Ltd (BCG) is only listed in India — NSE & BSE.
- ❌ There is no U.S.-listed entity called Brightcom Group Inc or BGRI in the SEC database.
- 🚫 The 10-K filing we reviewed was not linked to any real, registered U.S. company.
This was a case of false attribution, and we take full responsibility.
🫡 Our Apology
To our readers, financial sleuths, and every person who shared the post in good faith:
We’re sorry. This one’s on us.
We pride ourselves on mixing financial insight with irreverent fun — but not at the cost of factual accuracy.
We’re removing the article immediately, and updating our editorial checks to triple-verify U.S. filings before we even write a headline.
🤡 A Little Humility, Edu-Style
Let’s face it — we got catfished by a ghost company. And now we feel like the guy who bought “AdaniCoin” on Telegram.
But hey, transparency is part of our DNA — even when it hurts.
If you caught the error before us, we salute you. And if you’re Brightcom, well… at least we didn’t blame you for this one.
