New Delhi, August 21, 2025 – Oriana Power Limited has announced a major breakthrough in its clean energy journey with the receipt of a Letter of Award (LOA) from the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. (SECI) for the production and supply of 60,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) of Green Ammonia.
The project, awarded under the SIGHT Scheme (Mode-2A-Tranche-I) of the National Green Hydrogen Mission, will see Oriana Power supplying Green Ammonia at a fixed price of ₹52.25 per kg to Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd-II (Sagar, Madhya Pradesh) for a period of 10 years.
Contract Value and Execution Timeline

- The execution timeline has been set at 36 months from the effective date of the Green Ammonia Purchase Agreement (GAPA).
Incentives Under National Green Hydrogen Mission
In addition to assured revenue, Oriana Power will also be entitled to receive government incentives of ₹127 crore over the first three years under the SIGHT Program – Component II (Green Ammonia Production Procurement Incentive). This financial support is expected to improve project viability and accelerate India’s adoption of green fuels.
Strategic Importance of the Project
Green Ammonia, derived from renewable hydrogen, is increasingly seen as a crucial fuel for the future – serving as a carbon-free substitute in fertilizers, shipping, and industrial applications. The project places Oriana Power at the forefront of India’s green hydrogen and ammonia value chain.
