Tyche Industries Q3 FY26 – Sales Crash 40%, Profit Down 62%, Yet Trading at 17.7 P/E. Value Pick or Value Trap?

1. At a Glance – Smallcap API Maker in Turbulence Mode

₹119 crore market cap. ₹116 stock price. Down 20.9% in one year. Down 4.41% in three months. Sales down 40.39% YoY in the latest quarter. Profit down 61.60%.

And yet… P/E at 17.7. Dividend yield at 2.59%. Price-to-book at 0.85.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Tyche Industries Ltd — an API manufacturer that is almost debt-free, sitting on a ₹137 book value per share, trading below book, but recently smacked by USFDA action and margin compression.

Latest Q3 FY26 numbers (Dec 2025 quarter) show revenue at ₹10.58 crore and PAT at ₹1.82 crore. Annualised EPS (Q3 average rule applied) comes to approximately ₹7.13.

Is this a turnaround brewing? Or a slow simmering compliance headache?

2. Introduction – The Glucosamine Specialist with Regulatory Headaches

Founded in 1998, Tyche Industries manufactures Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), intermediates and nutraceuticals.

It proudly claims to be one of India’s largest manufacturers of Glucosamine Hydrochloride. Most of it exported to the US and Europe.

So this is not a local generic shop. This is an export-heavy pharma ingredient business.

Exports contributed 59% revenue in FY23. Domestic contributed 41%.

Now here’s the twist.

In January 2025, USFDA issued an “Official Action Indicated.” In February 2025, the company received a USFDA warning letter for its Kakinada facility.

For an API exporter dependent on the US market… that’s not exactly good news.

Yet despite that, the company is:

  • Debt free
  • Generating positive cash flows
  • Paying dividends
  • Trading below book value

So what is going on?

Is the market pricing in permanent damage?

Or is this a temporary regulatory fever?

Let’s dissect.
