Is this the next Netflix of Gujarat? Or is Dalal Street just having a filmi moment?

Latest quarter sales fell 8.07% QoQ, yet profit rose 29.3%. Margins are at a jaw-dropping 81% OPM. That’s not a cinema hall. That’s a gold mine with popcorn machines.

Curious yet? Good. Let’s step into this multiplex of mysteries.

2. Introduction – From Cinema Halls to Solar Panels?

City Pulse Multiventures Ltd, incorporated in 2000, started life as a multiplex and digital media player. Think cinema halls, food & beverages, film distribution, and later — OTT platform under the brand WOWPLEX.

But wait.

Recent announcements show MOA alterations to add electricity generation and petroleum product distribution. Solar. Petroleum. OTT. Film production. Direct-to-consumer.

At this point, this company has more career shifts than a Bollywood struggler in Andheri.

The December 2025 quarterly results were approved on 12 February 2026. The announcement confirms:

  • Q3 Revenue: ₹147.60 lakh (₹1.48 crore)
  • 9M Revenue: ₹378.75 lakh
  • 9M Net Profit: ₹173.70 lakh

So yes, the numbers are official.

Meanwhile, promoter holding has dropped from nearly 40% in 2020 to just 11.98% in Sep 2025.

Let’s dig deeper.

3. Business Model – WTF Do They Even Do?

Officially, City Pulse operates in:

  • Cinema halls
  • F&B services
  • Film distribution
  • Film production
  • OTT platform (WOWPLEX)
  • Direct-to-consumer digital content
  • New IP creation

And now possibly:

  • Solar power generation
  • Petroleum distribution

This is less “focused business model” and more “choose your own adventure”.

Revenue breakup in FY22:

  • Sale of Services: ~12%
  • Sale of Products: ~55%
  • Other Operating Revenue: ~33%

It also signed an MoU for an entertainment park in GIFT City (9,500 sq ft free land allocation).

Recently, it approved acquisition of Matrubharti Technologies via share swap (42.75 lakh shares issued at ₹358).
