Weizmann Ltd Q3 FY26: 16.76% OPM, ₹2.37 Cr PAT, Export Hangover & Domestic Comeback Drama

1. At a Glance – Small Cap, Big Mood Swings

At ₹86 per share, Weizmann Ltd sits with a market cap of just ₹133 crore. Three-month return? Down 19.9%. One-year return? Down 25.7%. Investors clearly have trust issues.

But hold on — Q3 FY26 (December 2025 quarter) just reported:

  • Sales: ₹28.46 crore
  • PAT: ₹2.37 crore
  • OPM: 16.76%
  • Quarterly EPS: ₹1.53
  • ROCE: 16%
  • Debt: ₹7.51 crore
  • Debt/Equity: 0.12
  • Promoter holding: 68.34%

And here’s the twist — despite TTM EPS being negative ₹2.02, the latest quarter looks healthy.

So what is this company? A textile exporter that got stuck in African credit cycles and is now shifting domestic.

Small cap. Volatile earnings. Export drama. Buyback at ₹160 last year.

You’re curious now, aren’t you?

2. Introduction – Textile, Africa & a Strategy U-Turn

Founded in 1985, Weizmann Ltd manufactures African print fabrics, cotton voiles, and textile processing services. Sounds simple.

Except it isn’t.

For years, the company exported predominantly to African countries. Then came the problem: Chinese and Pakistani exporters started offering longer credit periods to African buyers.

Translation?

Weizmann shipped fabric. Payment arrived late. Cash flow went on vacation.

So management said: “Enough. Let’s focus on domestic.”

This shift is crucial.

Revenue breakup FY23:

  • Sale of Products: ~10%
  • Sale of Services: ~90%

So technically, this is more of a textile processing service business than a fabric brand powerhouse.

But here’s the big question:

Can a small textile player survive in domestic markets against giants?

We’ll get there.

3. Business Model – WTF Do They Even Do?

Let me explain like you’re smart but lazy.

Weizmann operates a composite textile processing and manufacturing unit on 15,175 sq. mt. land in Narol, Ahmedabad.

Installed capacity:
24 million meters per annum.

Products:

  • Cotton Voiles
  • Pracale
  • African prints
  • Job work (dyeing, colouring)

The real engine? Textile processing services.
