OnMobile Global Ltd Q1 FY26: ₹125 Cr Sales, PAT ₹16 Cr, 74 Mn Subs – Still Living Off Your Old Ringback Tone?

1. At a Glance

OnMobile Global, once the cool kid that made your caller tune play “Tera Hone Laga Hoon” in 2009, is now a ₹670 Cr company struggling to reinvent itself. Q1 FY26 sales stood at ₹125 Cr, PAT jumped to ₹16 Cr (YoY +232% thanks to low base effect), but TTM profit is still negative ₹3 Cr. Book value ₹59, CMP ₹63, so valuation is barely above book. With 74 Mn subscribers across 64 countries, they’re everywhere—but profitability is missing like BSNL network in a basement.

2. Introduction

Remember when changing your caller tune was the ultimate swag flex? That was OnMobile’s golden age. Today, caller tunes are basically “that one feature you forgot to unsubscribe from.”

The company has tried pivoting into gaming with Challenges Arena, ONMO, Gamize. But its DNA is still VAS (value-added services) for telcos. It boasts Airtel, Vodafone, Movistar, Ooredo as clients. Sounds global, but revenue growth over 5 years = 0.02% CAGR. Yes, your savings account probably grew faster.

So here we are: a company that shut down half its foreign subsidiaries, changed CEOs like changing Netflix passwords, and now claims “mobile gaming” is its future.

👉 Question: Do you still remember your last caller tune? If yes, you’re OnMobile’s target audience. If no, you’re their biggest problem.

3. Business Model – WTF Do They Even Do?

OnMobile is like that friend who had one viral TikTok hit but is still trying to make it in Bollywood.

  • Mobile Gaming (~11% revenue):
Products – Challenges Arena, ONMO cloud gaming, Gamize loyalty solutions. Subs ~6.75 Mn. But let’s be real—gaming is dominated by Dream11, MPL, Krafton. OnMobile is playing carrom while others play PUBG.
  • Entertainment (tones, videos, contests):
Still ~74 Mn subs. Tones (37%), Videos (37%), Contests (3%). This is their bread and butter, except the bread is stale and butter is melting.
  • Digital Content Store:
Basically a one-stop shop for videos, music, wallpapers. Sounds like 2008. Competing with YouTube and Spotify = suicide mission.
  • Infotainment:
Trivia contests, music, cricket scores. A Jio notification gives you more content these days.
  • Clients: Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone Idea, Ooredo, Samsung, PhonePe, bKash. Global but B2B model keeps margins thin.

So business model = B2B + D2C entertainment, with legacy tones + risky gaming pivot.
