Omfurn India Ltd: 84,000 Doors, 6,000 Kitchens, and Still No Dividend – Furniture Factory Meets Balance Sheet Comedy

1. At a Glance

Omfurn India, born in 1997, is basically India’s IKEA that never bothered to open showrooms. Instead, they churn out pre-finished doors, modular kitchens, and wardrobes for hotels, schools, and corporates. From Oberoi Hotels to L&T projects, their furniture has entered more places than most real estate brokers. With FY25 revenue of ₹84 Cr and PAT ₹6.4 Cr, this NSE-SME company is now a ₹142 Cr market-cap baby. Stock has doubled in 1 year (+86%), which means even furniture can “multibag.”

2. Introduction

Imagine walking into a 5-star hotel room. You open the wardrobe — that’s Omfurn. You knock on the fire-resistant door — still Omfurn. You sit on the chair in an international school — yep, Omfurn again. This company doesn’t want to be on your shopping list; it wants to quietly occupy your entire room.

But the fun fact? Despite three decades in existence, Omfurn is still an SME. Revenues are small (₹84 Cr FY25), but profitability has grown 113% CAGR in the last 3 years. That’s like a student who failed twice but then suddenly cracked CAT exam.

However, like every SME:

  • Top 10 customers = 80% revenue. One client sneezes, Omfurn catches pneumonia.
  • Promoter stake fell from 73% to 51% in 5 years. Clearly, promoters also believe in “furniture finance ka diversification.”
  • And still, zero dividends — so the shareholders get wooden doors, not cash.

3. Business Model (WTF Do They Even Do?)

Omfurn earns its living through turnkey furniture projects. Translation: they don’t just make furniture; they outfit entire offices, hotels, and schools.

Product Mix:

  • Doors (83% revenue) → Fire-resistant, laminated, veneer. If it has hinges, Omfurn probably billed it.
  • Modular Kitchens → L-shape, U-shape, Parallel. Basically, geometry with cabinets.
  • Wardrobes → Glass doors, slider doors, wardrobes with dressing tables (because Indians want to see themselves everywhere).
  • Commercial Furniture → School benches, hotel desks, office setups.

Manufacturing Muscle:

  • Umbergaon, Gujarat plant — 161,000 sq. ft.
  • German & Italian CNC machines (because desi jugaad doesn’t work for fire doors).
  • Capacity: 84,000 doors, 600 kitchens, 6,000 wardrobes, 6,000 office furniture units per year.

So yeah, Omfurn is less FabIndia, more contractor with ISO certifications.
